Results of the 2020 municipal council election:

What an election victory! With an increase of 12.18% to 41.28%, the Wiedergeltingen Citizens' Association has won 5 seats on the municipal council for the first time since the 1996-2002 legislative period. In addition to Barbara Kugelmann, Maximilian Kienle, and Brigitte Roth, two new members have joined the association's council group: Dorothee Dirnbacher and Jacob Schilling, who secured a seat on the Wiedergeltingen council with 311 votes from position 17 on the party list.

We are particularly proud of the heterogeneity of our 5 members, which is reflected in our 2020 municipal council candidate list.

Results of the 2014 municipal council election:

The Wiedergeltingen Citizens' Association (Bürgerverein Wiedergeltingen e.V.) secured a third seat on the municipal council with 29.10% of the vote, narrowly missing a fourth seat by just one vote (see detailed description below). In addition to Barbara Kugelmann, two new faces have joined the association's council group: Maximilian Kienle and Brigitte Roth, who replaces Norbert Führer, who has accepted the office of mayor.

A great election success for the 2014 election team!

The citizens' association Wiedergeltingen eV narrowly misses out on a 4th seat.

According to the Hare/Niemeyer evaluation method, which was first used in the local elections on March 16, 2014, the number of votes received by each party/voter group is multiplied by the total number of seats and then expressed as a proportion of the total votes cast. The number before the decimal point represents the so-called "safe" seats. If the resulting sum is less than the total number of seats to be allocated, then remaining seats are awarded based on the highest decimal value. If this value is exactly the same for several parties/voter groups, as was the case in the municipal council election on March 16, 2014, then the party/voter group whose candidate received the most votes receives the seat. In our case, this was the Free Voters. Thus, the Citizens' Association ultimately missed out on a fourth seat by a single vote.

As you can see from the 2014 evaluation according to Hare/Niemeyer, the Free Voters and the Citizens' Association have exactly the same decimal value, which represents the distribution of the remaining seats.
